The Bertoia Diamond lounge chair is a classic, modern design that enhances any environment. It is more a piece of sculpture than simply seating. Sculptor Harry Bertoia's Diamond Lounge chair remains a fascinating study in bent metal and a fixture of mid-century design. Its frame is welded steel, with rods in a chrome finish. The seat cushion is stretched over the wire seat basket and attaches using a lock-snap button. The original design won Bertoia the recognition of 'Designer of the Year' in 1955 and a Certificate of Merit from the American Institute of Architects.
