The wonderful thing about our furniture is that the design, quality and craftsmanship is matched by it’s history. Every piece we sell has a story. Some of those stories we know, some we may find out over time and some may stay mysteriously hidden. But, the story is there, woven into the DNA of each and every piece. We are often asked to loan our furniture for specific projects. This is always an enjoyable collaboration. We have for many years collaborated with on Films and Theatre projects and the final result is always a joy.
Director Ben Wheatley shot a film adaptation of JG Ballard’s dystopian novel ‘High Rise‘. Set in the 1970’s and shot on location in Northern Ireland, this film was a great fit for our furniture. Quite a number of our mid century pieces had a supporting role.
We worked with Set Decorator Paki Smith and the result is pretty special. The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and Elisabeth Moss.
