Gunnar Ander designed this exquisite vintage vase in green and yellow glass. Produced by Lindhammar Glasbruk in the late 1950’s to early 1960’s, this gorgeous Somerso vase is a weighty piece and could also work well as a beautiful paperweight. The light absolutely radiates through this gorgeous hand blown glass.
The company had been founded in 1905 by a German Glassblower ( Robert Rentsch ) who had worked at Kosta and Pukeberg. In 1949 Rentsch’s son, Eric Hovhammar, took over the running of the Glassworks and totally rebuilt it. It was at this point in 1949, that Gunnar Ander began his collaboration with Lindhammar. It was with that the company finally began producing art glass.
This vintage vase is a fine example of his work. Signed and numbered, this mid century piece also has the it’s original Lindhammar label.
